This is a personalized experience where your guide will lead you on a trail that delves into the temperate rainforest reserve of the Southern Andes, located within the Kusamkö (Waters and Hills) indigenous community in the town of Calcurrupe Alto (The Witches' Trail), between Lake Ranco (Betting Water) and Lake Maihue (Drinking Jar). You'll have the chance to see waterfalls (Trayen or Traiquen), the 2,242-meter-high Queñi mountain range, wetlands, and Karülafken Lagoon, a crystal-clear lagoon where you can enjoy beautiful views and the reflection of the surrounding hills. The activity lasts a total of 5 hours, covers 3.5 kilometers, and is low-level hiking.

Description Activity

This is a personalized experience where the guide will take you along a path that goes into the reserve of the temperate rain forests of the Southern Andes, located inland of the indigenous community Kusamkö (Aguas y Cerros) in the town of Calcurrupe Alto (Sendero de Los Brujos), between Lake Ranco (Agua de apuesta) and Lake Maihue (Jarrito for drinking).

You will have the chance to see waterfalls (Trayen or Traiquen), the 2,242-meter-high Queñi mountain range, wetlands, and the Karülafken lagoon, a lagoon with crystalline waters where you can enjoy its beautiful panorama and the reflection of its neighboring hills. The activity has a total duration of 5 hours, you will walk 3.5 kilometers and it has a low level of demand.

Itinerary

Total 5 hours (schedule negotiable).

08:00 am: Meeting with participants in Calcurrupe Alto, to head towards the refuge sector. Signing of the "Registration form and acceptance of the risk of the activity" safety talk, workshop on the use of walking sticks and information on the general itinerary.
08:30 hours: Start of hiking activity.
12:30 pm: Arrival back at the shelter
1:00 p.m.: Farewell to participants in Calcurrupe Alto.
