Itinerary

Meet your guide in Puerto Varas at 9:00 AM. We'll drive along the route bordering Lake Llanquihue toward Cochamó, where the Petrohue River flows through the valley of the same name and flows into the Reloncaví Estuary.

For the next few hours, we'll walk along a trail lined with ancient Coihue and Tepa trees, and the wonderful diversity of the Valdivian rainforest. But the most interesting surprise will be the marvelous views.

The trail leads us into the forest until we reach the viewpoint. Here we dismount to rest and admire the scenery of this beautiful region. On the way back, we have beautiful views of the Osorno Volcano.

From 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (starts and ends in Puerto Varas)

Other conditions

Terrain: Forest and open pampa trails, rolling, gradual, and slightly muddy depending on the season. Some unshaded sections.

Transport: Private vehicle.

Recommended clothing: Warm clothing, comfortable, loose-fitting pants, preferably cotton. Depending on the weather, waterproof clothing, hiking shoes, or running shoes that aren't too wide. Sun protection (sunscreen, hat), and sunglasses.

Guided tour in Spanish, Italian, and English. Certified in Wilderness First Aid (WFR-ECOMED), and with extensive knowledge of the area's flora and fauna.
