A two-day activity departing on day 1 at 3:00 PM from our agency in Neltume, we will travel by 4x4 for 1 hour and 45 minutes to the Mocho-Choshuenco National Reserve and spend the night in a mountain refuge. Upon arrival at the refuge, we will tour the facilities and then have free time to enjoy the area. In the evening, we will have a pre-activity safety briefing and equipment distribution.
The ascent takes place on day 2. Departing at 7:00 AM, we hike for approximately two hours to reach the Mocho-Choshuenco Glacier along a trail marked with volcanic rocks. Upon reaching the glacier, we gear up to climb onto the ancient ice and begin our exploration with technical equipment.
This activity is interpretive, educational, and sporting, with the objective of getting to know part of the Mocho-Choshuenco glacier and visiting its formations.
The activity is super engaging and allows you to enjoy beautiful colors and views of volcanoes and lakes while on the ice.
The return is made through the same sector, returning to the shelter to collect the bags and return to Neltume.
