The activity delved into the key elements to consider when creating tourism products that differentiate themselves from traditional offerings.

With the completion of its 5th workshop in the commune of Panguipulli, led by Pablo Ramírez , Master in Public Tourism Management, the Technology Dissemination Program (PDT) on "Design of High-Value Tourism Experiences" entered its final stretch, prior to testing the different prototypes developed by its attendees.
This program, awarded by Fomento Los Ríos to the Pilares Consulting Firm, featured the participation of more than 30 entrepreneurs, both in person and remotely, who were able to continue analyzing the key elements to consider when designing tourism products that differentiate them from traditional offerings.
Entrepreneur Graciela Chihuaicura , from Dome Accommodations "Vive Pellaifa" , highlighted that the PDT and its various workshops have allowed her to learn new techniques for designing services that are attractive to tourists and visitors in general.
"I've been able to learn tips to apply to my business, where in addition to providing accommodation, I invite people to experience agritourism and life around Lake Pellaifa," he explained. He also emphasized that programs like this allow them to build connections with other entrepreneurs, learn about their experiences in the tourism industry, and how they "have grown and added value" to their own ventures.
Paulina Valderrama , executive director of Pilares, indicated that these PDT workshops are key for attendees to "begin to build the tourism experiences they have conceived through the PDT and that they will showcase at Demo Day," as the event that typically concludes a business acceleration program is called.
The Technology Outreach Program on "Designing High-Value Tourism Experiences" was created by commercial engineers Angélica Sepúlveda and Paulina Valderrama. Through Pilares Consulting, they also launched Ruténica.cl, a website specializing in the digital marketing of the Lakes and Volcanoes Scenic Route's tourism offerings.
