Tourist destinations in Los Lagos are present at Mundo Outdoor, Chile's largest outdoor expo.

Ruténica, Sup Náutico Puerto Octay, and Turismo Las Cascadas were selected by the local Sernatur (National Tourism Authority) to promote the region's attractions and tourist experiences.

The tourist destinations that have made the Los Lagos Region famous, such as Llanquihue, Puyehue, Puerto Varas, and Puerto Octay, among other gems of southern Chile, are present at Mundo Outdoor, the largest outdoor expo in the country.

This was thanks to the presence of Ruténica , Sup Náutico Puerto Octay and Turismo Las Cascadas , companies that were selected by Sernatur Los Lagos to promote the area's attractions at the tourism experiences stand.

“It has been a great joy for Ruténica to be able to participate in this booth, promoting all the providers who are offering services on our platform and bringing all this wonderful offering from Los Lagos to the public in the Metropolitan Region,” said Angélica Sepúlveda, founder of Ruténica.

“This is an opportunity to make our presence felt and for the public to learn about the region's wonders and nature. It's also a great opportunity to teach and educate about caring for nature, and to demonstrate that through tourism we can travel, learn, educate ourselves, and love the outdoors,” said Leonardo Henríquez, administrator of Turismo Las Cascadas, Canopy Chile, and Restaurante el Nuevo Cimarrón.

Mundo Outdoor, held at the Huechuraba Business City in the Metropolitan Region, includes 120 companies and 200 brands linked to outdoor activities. This year's event is expected to surpass the 12,000 visitors who attended the 2022 edition.

The largest wooden map of Chile, 11 meters long, will also be presented at the mega fair, and Turismo Sobre Ruedas will show the new edition of The Great Guide to Chile 2023-2024 , which includes 20 tourist circuits from Arica to Magallanes, with emblematic routes such as San Pedro de Atacama, Torres del Paine, the Carretera Austral, Alto Biobío, among other destinations.

Humberto Merino , editor of Turismo Sobre Ruedas, stated that "the official launch of the guide will be on November 10th, in collaboration with Sernatur, with whom we will be working on international editions of this document in English and German. This also serves as a boost to showcase Chile internationally as a top destination for overland tourism."
